Position Requirements


Status:                            Full-time
Schedule/Hours:          40 hours/week
Location:                        D. C. Regional Office
Travel:                             Yes 25% of time


Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate business strategies
  • Generate revenue and meet financial goals and objectives for the regional office
  • Function as a Strategic Client Manager by maximizing client contact time
  • Create a management team to execute business strategies and grow the regional office presence
  • Functional areas include sales marketing, client management, technical and general management
  • Develop budget and staffing plans
  • Communicate corporate business vision and values
  • Knowledge of targeted regional markets in both public and private sectors
  • Recruit, train, develop, mentor, and retain key employees to support business growth
  • Lead and foster an environment of continuous learning and growth

  • Minimum Required Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience managing engineering or science and technology projects
  • Proven track record of achieving financial goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated track record in the civil/environmental engineering field
  • Familiarity with local municipalities and local clients
  • Ability to reach key decision makers in the Washington, DC area

  • Special Qualifications/Specific Skills:

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to document completed work tasks, give project status reports
  • Must prepare final engineering analysis reports
  • Must be a motivated self-starter
  • Must work in a team environment with other engineers and technicians
  • Project Management experience in the engineering field required

  • Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science related fields
  • Advanced Degree(s) strongly desirable

    Required Registrations/Certifications/Clearances

  • Registered Professional Engineer or equivalent certification desirable
